This accreditation decision does two things:
1. Represents the highest level of accreditation that can be
awarded to
an organization
2. Shows Bethlen Communities' substantial conformance to
CARF standards
An organization receiving a Three-Year
Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review
process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors that its
services are of the highest quality.
Bethlen Communities is a nonprofit
continuing care retirement community in Ligonier. It has
been providing care services since 1921.
Founded in 1966 as the
Commission on
Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, or CARF, this
accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to
help measure and improve the quality of an organization's
services.
Bethlen
Communities also received accreditation for Governance
Standards, which reflects the leadership of the Board of
Directors.
