Bethlen Home offers a state-approved Nurse Aide Training Program which is free to interested candidates.
Students who complete the program with a passing grade are eligible to take the exam to become registered with the Pennsylvania Department of Health as a Nurse Aide.
The program takes place at the skilled nursing facility, encompassing both theory and clinical experience.
It is taught by state-certified instructors.
The training program is typically offered one to two times annually. The program consists of 120 hours of instruction and runs three days a week for six weeks. This includes classroom, hands-on practice, lab and clinical hours. All patient care skills are practiced in a lab-like setting (lab hours) until students demonstrate competence and confidence with each skill.
The next program will be held in June of 2012. Please visit the Corporate office to submit an application at 125 Kalassay Drive, Ligonier, PA 15658 to apply. Contact the Human Resources Department for additional information at 724-238-2151.
