Long Term Skilled Care

The Bethlen Home provides individualized skilled nursing care in a home-like atmosphere making each resident as comfortable as possible. The nursing staff includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants who share the goal that each resident or short-term rehabilitation patient achieve and maintain their optimal level of wellness.
 
In conjunction with the physician, a multidisciplinary team from Bethlen Home develops a Care Plan for each resident. Nurses offer expertise with health concerns involving:
 Sleep   Elimination
 Pain  Skin Care
 Immobility  Eating
 Confusion  Nutrition

Friendship Gardens

Friendship Gardens is Bethlen Home's secure specialty care wing. The very caring and professional staff offer a great deal of support and encouragement to residents and their families.

 Friendship Gardens offers several unique, personalized features. Some include:
  • Indoor and outdoor secure circulation pathways, which allow residents to walk freely without getting lost.
  • A beautiful simulated fireplace to give a homelike feel to the environment.
  • Country Kitchen and Living Room for these residents privately.
  • Specialized activity area with carefully-designed and provided activities.

The specialty care wing often feels like an independent entity of Bethlen Home. The staff in that wing stay within that wing, creating a protected, familiar, and nurturing environment for  residents dealing with dementia issues.

Activities

The Activity Department is managed by a Certified Activity Director with more than 30 years of experience in long-term care. Family members are encouraged to participate in any activity.  Activity areas include:
  • Spiritual - Bible study and church services in English and Hungarian
  • Physical - Bowling, games, barber and beauty services
  • Social - Bingo, parties, live entertainment
  • Intellectual - Trivia, resident meetings, cooking, and pottery classes

Room Accomodations

We offer private and semi-private rooms. Each room is tastefully decorated and includes a bed, chair, armoire, nightstand, desk and dresser. Each room has individual temperature controls.

Dining

Bethlen participates in Medicare and Medicaid programs as well as several private insurances for reimbursement of services.
There are no out-of-pocket expenses for Bethlen's hospice services since we accept Medicare and Medicaid as 100% coverage
