Senator Visits Bethlen Communities
Ligonier, PA - Senator Don White (R-41) recently visited
Bethlen Communities in Ligonier.
Beginning with a walk through of Ligonier Gardens Personal
Care, Sen. White followed with a tour of Bethlen Home
Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
“Truly, these are first class facilities and assets to our
region for the care of one the most vulnerable segments of
our population, the aging,” Sen. White commented.
In addition to being recognized as a CCRC, or continuing
care retirement community, Bethlen Communities was also
recently accredited by CARF for its assisted living and
long-term care services. They were first in the state of
Pennsylvania to receive these particular accreditations.
Founded in 1921, the mission of the nonprofit, faith-based
organization is to provide a healthy and nurturing living
environment for older adults.
Sen. White added, “I’m grateful Bethlen’s facilities not
only meet these needs, but in many cases, exceed them.”
