The chefs at the French Express in Latrobe, Nicolas Grunewald and Christophe Fichet, stand next to the “Dessert of the Decade” award received from Bethlen Communities at the “Cabaret of the Decade” event and dessert completion held at Bethlen’s Center for Community Services in Ligonier. The French Express Cake (pictured on the right) was the winning dessert entry. Other contributors to the Dessert of the Decade competition include: The Ligonier Tavern, Myriam’s Table Café, The Ligonier Creamery, Table 105, The Darlington Inn, and The Eat ‘Em Up Truck. Those in attendance at the Cabaret sampled and voted on the many delicious desserts naming the French Express Cake the winner of the close competition.
