Hungarian Picnic

Bethlen Communities is celebrating our 95th anniversary and we invite you to join us for our Hungarian Picnic.  The fun begins at 11am, starting with church service at Moriah Chapel. The picnic will follow at noon.

11:00 a.m. Worship Service at Moriah Chapel, Immediately following will be a short re-enactment of Janos Horvath’s Day in the Coal Mine in 1926

12:00 p.m. Picnic begins with prepared meal and music by George Batyi Gypsy Strings

1:30 p.m. WPA Magyar Dancers

2:00 p.m. Entertainment/Games at Large Tent

2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Children’s Activities at Children’s Tent

2:30 p.m. Magic Show at Children’s Tent

3:00 p.m. Folk Factory & Trafford Junior Tamburitzan Dancers

4:00 p.m. Entertainment/Games at Large Tent

4:00 to 6:00 Fire pit/bacon fry and picnic food over the fire

4: 30 p.m. Magic Show at Large Tent

5:00 p.m. Basket Raffle & 50/50 Drawings

5:15 p.m. Corn Hole Tournament

Bethlen Communities Caring for Our Community 5K Run/Walk
Saturday, June 10, 2017 - 7:30am

Race begins at 8:30AM. Registration begins at 7:30AM. Pre-register by: 05/19/17 T-shirts given to those who pre-register.
Entry fees: $15.00 pre-registered runners/$20.00 for race day registration. Proceeds Will Benefit Ligonier Valley Meals on Wheels & the Ligonier Valley Food Pantry. Bethlen Communities will be collecting donations for the Ligonier Valley Food Pantry on race day. Please consider bringing a canned good or non-perishable item. Course will begin and end at Weller Field, 422 North Fairfield St, Ligonier. Competitors will run two laps around the stadium and then continue down the Lisa McKenna Trail. Runners will continue to the turn around in order to return to the stadium via the trail and to do one final lap at the stadium to complete the 5K.
